Philosophy: Make to Connect

I have been making and selling products since I am 8 yrs old. My mother’s last gift to me was on my 13th birthday, an empty cookbook to write my beauty and food recipes. A month later, before passing, she wore one of my necklaces as a message that she would carry me with her. She intuitively knew that the best way to communicate highly sentimental messages to me was through products, my passion.

I´ve worked in marketing management and product development of +50 beauty care products and packaged foods. I develop products as mediums to connect with consumers to the worlds of fashion, beauty, culture, food, and art because the invisible forces of sight, taste, smell, touch have huge emotional power; they can change the way we feel and think.

At MIT, I focused my projects on merging the wellness category to tech, exploring the nexus of consumer goods and AI, genomics, and crowdsourced market intelligence.

I am passionate about inclusive, functional, wellness-focused CPG; in 2001, this led me to build the first masstige indie beauty brand of Central America and set up a fully-compliant (FDA, GMP, environmental and sanitary) laboratory in order to have creative flexibility to quickly execute on my product ideas. Fueled by the desire to revive the Latino beauty heritage and inspired by all the whitespaces I identified in the market, we developed and commercialized 40+ SKUs under 12 registered trademarks.

Today, it is even a more exciting time to be a product developer and marketer in the consumer goods space  Learn why… Signup below to be the first to receive news on my upcoming blog.
